I've booked it in with a Renault dealer - interestingly the service managers seems to think that there was a recall to disable the feature of hazards automatically switching on following an emergency stop for vehicles shipped to the U.K.
which is confusing when you kindly gents have expressed experiences to the contrary. I'm suspicious of having anything to do with the Renault dealership at the best of times - am I being lined up to be ripped off with some unnecessary repair work?
IIRC a recall is free, someone might be able to clarify this though. I'd be carful and make sure they don't do any work without letting you know how much it cost's first.
