Wise man dave. I wouldn't of touched the vehicle myself. If I get the faintest smell of something dodgy I walk away and won't even think about going any further with it.

Last thing you want is to be pulled over by the blue lights and being prosecuted for having a stolen car. That would be horrible!

Steer clear of dodgy sounding motors in general. Anything doesn't seem quite right (no matter how small or trivial) then don't touch it. There's plenty of other good cars out there.
