Why don't they write it in the handbook?
This reminds of a case of a women in America(where else!) that bought a brand new Winnebago Camper Van.
She drove it away from the dealership, very pleased with her new purchase, and after a few weeks, decided to take it on a long distance drive....
She drove onto a freeway, set the cruise control, and decided to go into the back of the camper to make herself a coffee. The Winnebago left the freeway, rolled over and landed in a nearby field.
The owner successfully sued Winnebago for millions of dollars, and now they have to put wording into the Handbook to the effect that even with the cruise control switched on,the driver still has to sit behind the wheel of the car as it is not an autopilot function....
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
