If it's the UCH fuse that you remove,then I suspect it's just a case that the unit resets it's self and the pressure sensors start working.The UCH 's are a little temperamental at the best of times.

If you have the radio code,try disconnecting the battery and leaving the car for a few hours.I suspect that when you connect it up again it will have the same effect as removing the fuse.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
