Very true.

There is one stretch of road I really love driving on - its between Kinross & Kincardine - in particular, there's a double bend where the camber is just so, and if you get the apex on the first bend just right, it sets you up perfectly for the following one.

I used to be able to take it flat out in my Ka (which had very wide tyres) - proof that chassis balance & anticipation is the delicate artist's brush rather than reliance on the sledgehammer effect of brute power. I used to be (and still am) capable of faster progress on that road (regardless of vehicle), than 90% of anyone else.
