All the advice, written, pictorial and video was fantastic. As a ten-thumbed technophobe, the thoughts of yanking stuff out of my car and then applying a soldering iron left me with a sense of impending doom (broken clips, connectors, connector pins, things falling off and disappearing into the interior of the car, never to be found again etc. etc.....).

But, faint heart never screwed a pig, so I went for it. Was it easy? Yes, very. Did it take long? No. Less than an hour (and that included walking up to the shop to buy a cheap soldering iron and a bit of solder).

So, thanks to all of you who took the time to upload all the fixes - the words of advice - the pictures and the video.

By the way, there appears to be a connector to the rear of the Climate Control Unit that goes nowhere (bottom right). Does anyone know what it's for ?????
