Renault Clio - Quote For Work From Main Dealer

I took my Renault clio to the renault garage initially to get a quote for a
new key plip + blade (renault's fancy wording for a new car key as my current one
needs replacing). The renault garage came back to me with a quote for the new key
but they also came back with a quote of 1352.39 for the following things they found
during their routine inspection:-

Injection Computer fault - cost to fix 726.73
Engine Wiring Loom wear and tear - cost to fix 411.83
TDC Sensor fault - cost to fix 214.43

After receiving the above quote I asked a local garage for a quote for the above work
(the garage was recommended to me by someone 2 years ago). The person I spoke to didn't
have a high regard of Renault's diagnosis so he said he would run his own diagnostic
tests and see what comes up. The local garage could not find anything wrong with the car
after a 76 diagnostic test.

I was extremely confused by the different sets of results so I asked both the Renault garage
and the local garage exactly what tests they did.

At Renault I spoke to one of the mechanics who said their PC diagnostic tests uncovered
the Injection computer fault and the TDC sensor fault. The Engine wiring loom was picked up
during their visual checks on the car. The Renault mechanic could not remember if the
TDC sensor fault was visually checked.

The local garage did not do any visual checks on the car, just the diagnostic checks (they
called it a scanner test).

I will try to not waffle too much as this post could go on for ever but both garages
suggested that maybe I should keep on driving the car until I get secondary evidence
of any problems i.e warning lights start showing on my dashboard.

I am still driving the car two weeks after Renault's diagnosis and everything seems fine,
no lights are coming up on the car dashboard and everything seems fine.

I`ve been asking other peoples advice and doing a bit of research on the internet but wanted
to ask RenaultForums opinion before I decide what to do.

I thought about getting a third opinion from a different garage but I think this isn't a
good idea especially as it seems different garages have their own set of tests and a third
opinion will provide me with another set of confusing results.

So should I continue driving the car till I get some secondary evidence of a
potential problem ?

Should I do what my brother suggested which is just address the items that could
fail my car's MOT which is coming up mid November ?

At the moment I'm thinking I should fix the engine wiring loom and the TDC sensor.

Any help appreciated, sorry this post was so long !!
