Well, I'm a step closer to getting the full licence (yep, the bug's bitten me).
Sat my theory & hazard perception test on Saturday, and passed.
Unfortunately, I've missed the boat for getting a practical test before it all changes in Oct (not a test date available at all), and I had to travel to Dunfermline to take the test on Saturday - so I'm willing to travel. And after October - I'll have to!
I'm looking into a spot of official training for the standard test - a 250cc will be a progressive step up, and most importantly (as I use the bike for giving quotes), I can use motorways.
Saw a local dealer selling off bikes very cheaply - a Kinlon 250 (Chinese bike) brand new for £395 - but he's clearing the stock. I think I'll have to take the plunge and buy one unregistered, and once the test is passed (being optimistic), my 125 will provide most (if not all) of the funding for its replacement.
The other half was a bit worried when I brought a brochure back for a Suzuki M1800 Marauder (1800cc engine! very cool), so she agreed straightaway when I suggested moving up to a 250cc (the politics you need to play in a relationship to get what you want
Keep on trucking.
