Renault Scenic II - Dead Dash display

Hello all,

Another dreaded dead dash display here. On Sat, the clock (time) reset itself for no reason and then last night the whole display just went black, no power whatsoever. After reading through many many posts I'm now down to either BBA-reman or cluster repair. Cost wise there's not much in it. Could anyone that has used either of these let me know what your experience was like.

Also on the scenic, once the display is out, apparantly it is still driveable but may generate loads of warnings. I'm thinking more of an emergency need more than anything else, but has anyone driven their scenic without the instrument panel? What happened?

Any advice or help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.
