No Glovebox ?
Is the space taken up with an airbag Delta
No the AB is above where the glove box should reside. On the french saffs they all have a glovebox. It was onlythe british versions that had it omitted. There doesn't seem to be a reason why either.
What I've always wondered is why it is suggested to change the water pump at the same time?
Because the water pump is directly powered by the timing belt NOT the v-belt. If you get the belt changed then their is direct access to the water pump. If you don't and the pump fails then you're going to need another cambelt anyway (along with another head gasket and various other parts). Its better to get it replaced while the cambelt is off and they have free access to it. You're not supposed to re-use cambelts.
