No the AB is above where the glove box should reside. On the french saffs they all have a glovebox. It was onlythe british versions that had it omitted. There doesn't seem to be a reason why either.
I believe it is to do with the change from LHD to RHD, just as it is with the pollen filter, or lack thereof, in RHD models.
Because the water pump is directly powered by the timing belt NOT the v-belt. If you get the belt changed then their is direct access to the water pump. If you don't and the pump fails then you're going to need another cambelt anyway (along with another head gasket and various other parts). Its better to get it replaced while the cambelt is off and they have free access to it. You're not supposed to re-use cambelts.
I'll keep it in mind, could even pick one up from a scrappys, or is it recommended to use a new pump?
