The actual "French" word is "auto taraudeuse" but that doesn't get used much, instead it's actually:
"une vis Parker" = a Parker Screw after the inventor.
plural is "les vis Parker"
Vis (screw) screw is singular and plural like sheep ( & not sheeps)
Screwdriver is tournevis (tourner of screws)
