I'm sure there must be an emergency release somewhere,or the actuator must be removable some how,otherwise you wouldn't be able to remove it to replace it when it goes wrong.
Most of the locking pins are only plastic anyway,so they are easy enough to break,but knowing your Avantime your maybe made from aircraft grade titanium,and if you try and lever it open the side of the car will peel off.
