Renault Clio - One-touch Driver-side Electric Window
Since I have owned my Clio, the driver side window has not been one-touch - it has required a prolonged press to wind all the way down. According to Parkers
, my 02 plate model Clio had a Driver-side one-touch window from Launch up until September 2002. I am unsure of when precisely in 2002 my car was made, and having searched the forums and read threads on problems with Laguna and Scenic windows being fixed with a reset procedure, I tried the procedure detailed in this post by TBUK:
Hi Paul ... Dave is correct, the window motors need initialised ... the proceedure is the same for most Renaults with electric windows ...
1/ Switch ingition on
2/ Raise window to the top
3/ Hold switch open for more than 2 seconds
4/ Lower window to the bottom
5/ Hold switch open for more than 2 seconds
6/ Motors initialised - Job done.
Hope it helps .... and works
It did not however work
The feature has never really bugged me much, though now it is a feature I would like to enable somehow if it is possible on my Clio as I will soon be commuting to Uni which involves a manned Toll-brdge and it would make things just that smidgen easier
1) Should my Clio have a one-touch window, Driver side for it's age? Parkers confuses me on this issue.
2) Is the reset procedure detailed above usable/different for a Clio?
