I replaced the switch on mine. not too hard.
Remove the battery.
Remove battery tray. (3 bolts)
Down on the gearbox, slightly towards the back is the switch.
unlclip the wiring.
You can check the swtich is working in position with a circuit tester (multimeter), but it is easier to take it out then check it. It will unscrew with a spanner, although lack of space makes it a bit fiddly.
I think a new switch was about £35.
Of course if you have the electronic brake, it is obvious if the switch is not working because it won't release when you pull away backwards!
