just nipped up to morissons and succeeded in letting more air out of a tyre than i did putting it in.
By driving to Morrisons you're heating up the air in the tyres and increasing the pressure anyway. So, setting the pressure under these conditions will mean they'll still be too low when they cool down. The recommended pressures are for when completely cold, so you might be better off buying a guage and foot pump and adjusting them at home when the tyres are fully cold.
WIth the pressure sensors that show the actual pressure, you can see that driving a short distance puts them up about 5-6 psi.
