Replacing with non original equipment is fine as long as the item has been designed specifically to do that task and is manufactured by someone who knows what they are doing. I would certainly recommend against buying something for £3.50 on fleabay, always go for a reputable supplier.

Having said that, I canít say Iíve ever seen stainless calliper bolts on a car, they are used pretty extensively on motorcycles, but then they are visible, so itís more about aesthetics.

I would be very surprised if a replacement part didnít have an anti corrosive coating on it and this should be fine.
