hi mate, i think you can put a screwdriver through one of the holes on the front of the drum, and lever the hand brake arm thingmymajig back a bit.
theres usually 2 holes opposite each other where you can inspect the shoe thickness through, just turn it round till you can see the arm and try to lever it gently.
it also might help to slacken the handbrake cable a bit too.
the shoes normally wear a lip in the drum, and its this lip that is whats holding the drum where it is.
also i dont think you need to remove the circlip to get the drum off, this just holds the bearing in place mate.
