Yep the rear lights from a later car will fit, but you will need to modify the wiring to do so. There is a thread where someone has kindly drawn a dioagram of how to switch the wires. Bear with me I'll have a go at finding it

Edit - I give up I can't find it But it would be very easy to alter the wiring to suit. Simply follow the circuit paths on your existing clusters and then the new ones, this'll help you figure out what does what, then its a matter of wiring in the bulb holder of the new lights to your car correctly and you should be sorted
