I must be imagining things so, I thought that the 3s were both diesels and were sourced from another company?

I had a really strong feeling that the larger diesels were sourced from Nissan/Isuzu, or somesuch?

I obviously need to research this more.

I clearly need to look into this more, I thought the 3.5 was a diesel. Is there a 3.5 available in diesel at all?

I don't think I would be willing to pay the fuel and tax/insurance on a large petrol like that. The 2.0 I drive now is expensive enough!

The fact that the 3.0 is also a dCi puts me off a lot. Having read some of the threads about MAF / EGR / Coils /Cambelts/Gaskets/manifolds failures across the dCi range is a stong disincentive. I have no idea about cars ( and I still don't know what all those acronyms mean either ).

Have the larger diesels been a little more reliable?
If I remember right, the 3.5 is out of the Nissan 350Z coupe. It's definitely a petrol engine. Have heard plenty of horror stories on here about the 3.0 dCi - do a search...
