firstly, apologies if this is the wrong thread to post this.
I have a Renault Scenic 02-03 and have a strange problem, I'm hoping that someone will have had the same thing and sorted it. This is the problem, sometimes when I start the car, it seems that the battery is flat (I had a new battery installed some time ago thinking that was the problem). I have discovered that the battery is getting drained because the radiator cooling fan continues to go after the car is stopped and the engine turned off, it does this when the car is hot (dial is half way). When the car is not hot, ie no traffic jams, or in the Winter months, the battery is ok.
Can someone offer any advice?
Hello, sounds like a faulty temp sensor in the radiator, causing the car to think its hot when its not, thereby running the fan when not necessary, regards Damian.
