It's been four weeks since I pestered you all...you'd imagine the car had no niggles.
This time around it is a knocking from what seems to be the front of the car.
All these parts have been changed -
wishbone and 3 bushes
shocks and bump stops
Stabilizer/droplink bars on both sides
The only thing that I can think of that has not been done is the anti-rollbar and its two bushes. My mechanic assures me that it is fine and not the likely cause of the knocking. The left side is a little weak, but that's to be expected and the noise is clearly coming from both sides
. It's been in there for 8 years.
My query is: could the track rod ends be causing the knocking? I've never known these to cause trouble, but they have 8 years and 143,000 miles up on them. It happens mostly over rough ground like cobblestones and my parents gravel driveway would be another example.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
