when u changed the shock absorbers, i presume it was new ones u put in not second hand, the noise and symptons points to shock absorbers, i presume your model has struts in the front. most shock absorber retailers or supplier/fitters have a machine for testing them in the car, could that be an option, when they test them, it may tell you where your noise is coming from. the other area it could be is the lower ball joints on the suspension arm
The shocks were new, yes. It really can't be them, they're in just over a year and I've done less than 10,000 miles + they are gas shocks.
When you say struts, do you mean suspension
I think what you call the suspension arm is what I call the wishbone, so it won't be that, thanks.
