Mileage census for the 1.5DCi

Renault claim the following figures for the 1.5 DCI 106

Combined - 62.5
Extra Urban - 68.9
Urban - 50.4

Generally those figures can be taken with a pinch of salt due to driving conditions, weather, roads, driving style, etc, etc but they do provide an indication as to what the car can achieve.

I'm interested in what other people with this car are getting because on what i'd consider a combined trip my wifes car is getting 43mpg - thats worked out manually and ignoring what the fuel computer says. Personally i think 43mpg from this car is utter garbage, her previous 1.9Dci would get better than that, my 2.0 TDCI Mondeo gets better than that!

On a long run the best we achieved was 59.9mpg, that was a rock steady 70mph for pretty much all of a 240mile journey. According to Renault we should have been getting high 60's.

The local dealer is passing off 43mpg as normal for this car.
