OK then I have the car at a garage now and here is the story.
The high pressure pump on the replacement engine was indeed rusted to bits inside so we fitted the original back on, we also changed the fuel rail and the injectors for the originals (fitted new seals on the injectors).
Everytime the garage clears the codes the engine will start for a few seconds then cut and the error code is always low pressure in the
, we have tried the sensor but the result is the same.
It is possible I have 2 failed high pressure pumps but it seems a little unlikey as the other one worked just fine before the engine blew up, any thoughts or am I going to have to bite the bullet and chance a pump.......
