Espace III Cigarette socket

I have recently been given a 'Sat Nav' system by my Brother, who buys a new one every time its available in a different colour!.

The unit has stayed in its box until yesterday when I decided to use it for our weekend at Scarborough. Now I know the way very well, but I thought it would be interesting to see how the system works.

So yesterday evening I programmed in the destination car park and set the thing up in the car. However it was at this point I realised that the cigarette socket is behind the handbrake between the front seats. Obviously with the windscreen been so far away on the Espace the provided power lead didn't stand a chance. So I have left the unit on charge in the kitchen.

It looks like I will have to source an extension socket before our driving holiday to Spain next year as I can't imagine the battery will last for 2 weeks!!

I presume that I am not the first one to realise this short fall in the Espace?
