I have a 2005 Renault Megane 1.4 Oasis and on a recent short journey the Toxic Fume Filter light started flashing. The handbook is not too helpful - what does this mean?
I wasn't driving but apparently it was accompanied by the 'chugging' almost as though the gear selection was too high for the speed being travelled and an unpleasant smell. Another intermittent problem (maybe related?) is that occasionally the car stalls after immediately starting.
Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated - thanks very much
it couid be a cat-convertor fault or
problem causing the car to over fuel,
but icouid be wrong,
one of the other members will hopefully be able to offer you better advice,
iwouidnt recomend driving the car till you have the fault sorted,
my mate had asimilar problem with a Renault espace he was advised not to drive it the outcome was not good
