I would add putting the car in neutral and giving the crankshaft a few turns by putting a socket on the end bolt - this will loosen up any pistons which may have seized in the cylinders.

Bradex Easy Start (an aerosol), can also be used to assist with the initial start up.

Fresh fuel filter is a must, as the existing one will be clogged to some extent.
