WD40 is an excellent de-watering agent but thats about it. It is not a good corrosion inhibitor or conductor especially of low voltage. Electrical switch cleaner is better at cleaning contacts. If it were mine I would be out with the soldering iron and create my own direct connections. As with most TDC faults it either due to dirt on the sensor itself or a duff connector. Renault have modified the connector but anyone handy with a soldering iron usually makes direct soldered joints
