I have the same problem. It is my plip/fob. It can be coded by any auto lock specialist, however, they can only get the fob from a dealer costing the same as you pay. It is about 80 for the fob and 50 to have it coded at Renault. You will need you V5 and driving license when you goto order the fob which can take upto 10 days to arrive.

That is if it is the fob. Have a go at what I have posted in the link above. Next time it doesn't work then get your camera out. Mine is still intermittant so can get in, just takes a while.
