Hi, Ok sorted it all out. Renault say its not covered under warranty and would cost £78 ish for repair.
So I ordered one of them for £31 and thought I would try it myself.
Now bear in mind, i'm not too mechanically minded so this is how I did it......
Pulled of the old one by slipping a blunt knife under it to give it a bit of help, got it out mostly but would'nt come anymore , it is like an L-shaped unit so give it a few twists until you see the angle to get it out.
I thought I would have to remove the door panel at first, but decided to give it another go.
Pull it quite hard , but not too hard as you are pulling the wires really and eventually it will give a bit so you can unplug the old one and fit the new. It's just a plug and play type connector so you wont have any problem fitting it.
Now mine might have just been a liitle tight under the panel but just to tell you to pull it a bit if yours is the same.
Push it back in from whence it came.
Thats it!! Done.
