Hold on, I doubt it's the battery at fault if it normally holds a charge well enough to start the car (though it is getting to the time of year when batteries are expected to die...) and replacing it at this stage may just disguise the problem which sounds like excessive current drain on the radio. The fan control issues is probably unrelate and caused by the resistor pack burning out - there's a nice howto on fixing them here and they should be fairly cheap to replace from a 3rd party parts supplier.
