My S Reg Laguna I used to do this from time to time. Sometimes one key would work but the other wouldn't, other times they both refused to open it.
I know it's not ideal if you're in a hurry, but leaving it for half an hour or so usually used to sort it out. Once you're in, you need to get the lock problem sorted. My car's only door lock was faulty from new (the barrel just spun round and round when turned.) Of course I didn't find this out until I needed to use the key because the remote wouldn't work.
My best guess is that the rolling code goes out of sequence. I'm not sure if there's a reset procedure, but try holding down one of the key buttons for at least ten seconds (maybe more) and see if that helps.
