bikers park in the carpark and take up the same parking bays as cars
i find it a pain when i pull into tesco's i see a empty parking bay i swing in to find some numpty has stuck his bike in there
To be honest, given the number of repairs I carry out to cars because somone has squeezed a car inbetween, I think they would've preferred a motorbike to have parked there instead...
And anyway. they have the same entitlement to park there as much as a van or motorhome would. No-one complains in London about a SMART taking up a parking space, when one space could accomodate two of them (ironically, I think it would be illegal).
Just the flipside of the same arguement.
Some view a motorcycle as being closer (in the eyes of the law) to a bicycle, than a car - far from it Motorcyclists need a special licence to use the roads, and must tax & insure their vehicle just the same. They are also subject to as many regulations as a motorist (bar the seatbelt ones of course). I have witnessed similar attitudes when on my bike - I'm in the correct lane on a dual carriageway/motorway, and some 'numpty' decides to share my space attempting to push me into the gutter (I suppose, where they believe a 'bike' should travel).
This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
