Is it a renault fitted alarm - if so it may have a red Led bulb hidden under the boot lining. When the alarm is activated it will flash in certain sequences. - such a single flashes - then double and so on. Each type of sequence denotes what circuit actvated the alarm. You could try taping up the internal sensors and then taping down the bonnet switch and see if it stops activating - that may help you find the fault.
My neighbours alarm went crazy when he fitted a tracking system to his Lag II Tourer but the problem was down to a voltage drop each time the tracker was looking for a satellite and connecting to the mobile phone network - he ended up connecting directly to the battery which seemed to help. I have also heard of some blue-tooth systems causing similar probs
