I found the correct connector - Tyco Electronics MicroMatch type. Carefully removed the old header and fitted the new MicroMatch.

The configuration was not much different from the factory default from Trimble. I guess these defaults would work fine in practice (just the setting for acceptable receive power level (3 rather than 2) and PDOP mask (10 rather than 12)).

I did use a GPS antenna on the dash for a little while but I found the signal was not nearly as good as the external SharkFin.
