I would agree Tig - its better to fix things a bit at a time when they go wrong than wait for them all to be fixed at once - spreads the costs Eh!!
In all honesty if everyone maintained their vehicle properly there would be no need for the MOT in the first place. Personally I think the MOT only makes vehicle owners and garages do what they ought to
