Another update....changing the crank sensor/associated bit of wiring loom hasn't cured the problem.

Throttle light came on again this morning on start up. This time I unplugged the black box of electronics and plugged it back in again a couple of times in case the contacts were dodgy. The warning light went out and the car started OK. However, it's done the same thing before (i.e. cured itself)without me unplugging the box, so I'm still none the wiser. Looks like I'll have to carry on changing expensive bits until it stops happening. I'll update this thread if there's anything to tell.....
