The glow plugs may not be faulty as the glow-lpug light doubles as a fault warning light for the fuel system. Additionally glow-plugs can be tested in situ using a multimeter and should read 0.6 ohms resistance.
Generally duff glow-plugs will not cause an negine to stop once started - but a duff fuel pump regulator would
