Hi all.
Can someone tell me where the air con pressure sensor is on my 2005 laguna 2 1.9dci and how accessible it is to change?
I want to replace it prior to regassing to eliminate it as the cause of air con not working.

Many thanks
Phil.

Its easier with the bumper off,, We had someone who was an aircon specialist, and he stated you could remove the sensor without degassing the system......
Dont forget the pictures, we luv pictures....

hi

its a bumper off jobbie. the pressure switch is on a schrader valve so it can be removed and replaced without losing the a/c gas, just be careful to push the wiring plug back in square so not to bend the tiny pins .

Hi, update on the pressure sensor.
Removed the bumper, which was not as daunting as you'd expect. Replaced sensor, then noticed a very bad wire that plugs into the compressor! Pic below. I have had to cut this and reconnect but it has still not fixed the AC working.
Checked all fuses in cabin and will check AC clutch at weekend.
Question.
Does anyone know of any under bonnet fuses or relays to check and where I might find them?

Hi

if you have replaced the pressure switch and repaired the wiring, checked the fuses, once you re gas the system you should be sorted.

Ha ha, well I'ts done 261k, not all Renaults are bad. I look after it, change oil and filters every 6 months, new shocks all round so it rides great, just had thermostat housing replaced due to leak. It's a great workhorse, I travel 30k a year in and out of London and has never once not started. Only problem I have at mo, apart from ac are a few oil leaks which I'll get round too and a rear exhaust bracket that keeps losing the rubber mount.

The two wires coming off the aircon clutch, one goes straight to the fusebox as in the fuse marked with the red line...
The other wire goes through a connecting plug, this plug is over the battery side of the car, goes into the air conditioning control unit... (switches in the dash that is)no 15 on the multiplug
Air conditioning pressure switch 3 wires, these go to the control unit,,
A= 8 C= 3 B = 11..

AC FIXED
So, under the car again today.
I checked power to bottom compressor connection (this is the one where the earth had corroded), power ok.
Took off bumper, checked power to sensor (foolishly didn't check this when I replaced original), power ok.
Checked if ac working, NO.
Checked top connection on Compressor for power, power ok.
Decided to cut plastic cable sleeve to double check I did not have a dodgy earth here as well, And don't you know, exactly the same corroded earth wire. Literally cut in two.
Cut and reconnected and voila, Ac now working. Not cold as ice but that may be down to the fact that the last regas could not be completed due to compressor not working.
Also, pressure sensor can be replaced without full bumper removal, it you remove under tray and remove lower fixings you can pull the bumper far enough down to see and remove it.

Lastly, thanks to all those who gave advice and help, it was greatly appreciated.
