I find that when I use shell, economy isn't quite so good as when I use Esso. I don't tend to use BP as the BP garages are the most expensive in our area, even for stadard diesel.#
Also I have noticed a general improvement in economy since the weather warmed up a bit ( Cornwall is still only managing max of about 15-16 degrees), then I have always noticed a dip during the winter.
Economy now is up to 49mpg ( hopefully reaching our summer average of 50.4 mpg soon)for our normal drive to from work which does not include ANY dual carriageway or M'way. On a recent 100 mile drive on mixed driving A & B roads I reset the computer before I left and when I got back home computer was showing 58mpg.
