Here's a short video clip of the fault in action....this happens as soon as the ignition is turned on.
Turning the ignition on & off a few times sometimes seems to stop it, but sometimes doesn't.
The car starts up & runs as normal....the fault seems to clear itself after about approx 1 minute then everything is back to normal.

I have been doing a bit of Googling on the subject of Laguna instrument cluster faults & there is mention of instrument clusters only working when warm...this seems to ring true with this it seems to have progressively got worse the colder the weather has turned.
It started off with just the trip counter loosing its memory after a few it has reached this point!
