Here's a little "MOT story" for you all to enjoy...

November 2006 - Vauxhall dealers MOT place advised very very strongly that my Movano's suspension ball joints were fubar'd. It passed the MOT at the time but with advisory for said suspension issues.

August 2007 - some work was done on same van at the same dealers, and they did a "vehicle condition check" in which they said the front suspension ball joints were all fubar'd and would need to be done ASAP (for a quote of around 1300!!! )

November 2007 - van passes MOT no probs, at an independant commercial specialist MOT place. We asked the guy "what did you think of the front suspension?" "Nowt wrong with it" his reply.

November 2008 - van passes MOT (well it failed actually due to a blown side light bulb and wipers ) No ball joints replaced, same MOT place as two years ago...

Sooooo, was that MOT place fishing for work a few years back? We've looked and the bloke that MOT'd the van in '06 is indeed the very same bloke that's MOT's the other week! Very dodgy sounding stuff to me!
