Forget the dealer! Complete a V62 (application for Registration Document).
In any case both of you have commited an "offence" by not informing the Dvla of the keeper change.
1: It clearly states that both
registered keeper & buyer must sign and date the origional V5.
2: The seller is responsible for sending the document to the Dvla.
