If you're only doing 3,000 miles per year, get an XJS 5.3 V12, and insure it on a classic policy. What you save on insurance will more than offset the additional fuel cost.
Just another way of looking at things.
That maybe slightly extreme,but a nice idea.
My 'classic' (and I use the term very loosely
) is insured on a limited mileage policy (3k incidently),fully comp for £140 a year.I am getting on a bit though(over 30
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
