If i'm not too late??

Noel's right in saying use warm soapy water - Use a few drops of Fairy.

Rule of thumb dictates that when you pick up a new sheet, it should be divided into 3 equally sized strips, tearing widthways across the sheet - if you are using a standard rubbing block, each strip would fit the block quite nicely.

I would start with an 800 grit, then a 1200.

I might also be tempted after using the 1200 to rub the 'business' side of a new strip with another one to take the 'harshness' out of it and using this before a cutting compound.

You could finally use 'jewellers rouge' to get an ever better result - but you may have to obtain some from a glazing or windscreen company.

Pics please??

Political correctness defined:
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end
