What would happen if you pressed the Start/Stop button whilst you were driving? Is there a speed limit where the button becomes inoperable?

I have tried this when I have rolled onto my drive and the car switched off and put the brakes on. We lurched forward in our seats even though we were only doing about 5mph. What would happen if you were doing 70mph on the motorway and one of the kids leaned forward and accidentally pressed the button???

Any ideas???

If the system is working correctly then the 'Stop' function should not operate if the car is travelling at more than 3mph.

I'm not sure if this is also true if the car is out of gear or the clutch depressed.
