interior lights stay on for ages!

The interior lights on my laguna are staying on for ages after I close the door. When i lock the car, they go out straight away but when I'm driving they remain on for ages before going out of their own accord. I've looked for the obvious switches on the door frame but cannot see any.
Anyone had this happen to them?
Anyone know how to fix this annoying snag?

Does your key card work in the accessories position?

Apparently there is a tiny microswitch that is operated when the card is inserted half way in - if this is worn or intermittant it can cause problems, including the courtesy lights.

If you do a search on the forum there is a detailed description how to remove the card reader and repair this mechansim, which is basically a piece of plastic ( this plastic arm breaks or wears).
