One of our few niggles with the Clio is the area above the drivers side center console air vent appears to be melting. You can see the plastic has melted and also changed colour, it has whats best described as a cloudy area about 2 inch all around it.
Took it to the dealers and they say its caused by one of those air fresheners you can put on the air vents, not happy with that as we never use them, back in the day when they first appeared they were useless as ever time you accelerated they would fly off so never ever bought one since. also if it was some chemical in those, would it not drop, this is above the vent? You can feel its melted it and its growing in size ( the cloudy part) so whatever is causing it hasn't stopped
Never used any dashboard cleaners or polish, just one of the hedgehog looking microfiber dusters is all that's been used.
Just curious if I'm the only one or not, I've been told by the dealer to contact customer support but tbh I'm feeling rather deflated by the dealers service, never realized i had to do all the chasing around and defending myself to Renault when the dealer should really do the running.
Old saying, once they have your money etc etc
