Hello there. I have a mk3 scenic and one side of the boot seatbelt clips that hold the belts to the sides of the car when not in use is broken. Does anyone know if these are easily removed and replaced, and if so does anyone know the part number. Thanks in advance.
Do you mean Grand Scenic 3rd row seats? Can't recall any clips on a short one, bar the magnetic clip in the headlining, which holds the middle seatbelt when not in use.
Thankyou. The Mk3 rear belts differ to the mk2, there are 2 retaining clips either side the boot just to keep the belts a bit more out of the way. One was snapped when purchased so unfortunately I don't have the piece to bodge back on!
Are you uk based? If so use an online breaker who will send you a second hand one for a fraction of the price of a new one. Make sure you specify the correct side and colour though.
I will maybe ring up nearest Renault dealer if and when I can be bothered to at some point to find the part no. if anyone else is interested (if they even sell them singly without the massive piece of boot trim attached). They look like they may be a common breakage with kids yanking the belts about etc.
Hi, sorry to revive an old thread, I've managed to snap one of mine, I tried 'Super Glueing' it but it's not strong enough, did you manage to get yours off without removing the entire trim piece?
Trim piece comes off in a matter of minutes. I think you need to unclip the vertical strip inside the rear doors then is is just a couple of torx screws to undo. The lip itself is plastic welded to the trim. A sharp knife or drill bit on the back will remove it easily.
Hi Twodogs, thanks for that, I saw the retrofitted ebay clips previously, they look good, very nice finish, I'll probably do that or something similar.
I got frustrated of the belt being in the way so I just pulled the broken clip off and zip-tied the belt in place using the holes... patience isn't one of my virtues ***x1f602;.
